The Jaithau Children Home, established in 2015 and run by the Indigenous Women and Children Foundation in Tamenglong, operates under the Mission Vatsalaya Scheme with support from the Social Welfare Department of Manipur. With a capacity of 50 children and 15 staff members, the home provides education support, vocational training, counseling, medical care, nutritious meals, and recreational activities for the holistic development of boys in need of care and protection. During the financial year 2024–2025, the home received 15 new admissions and restored 18 inmates, maintaining an average occupancy of 50–51 children.
